"Solaris Offgrid started in 2014, to develop technology to scale up promising energy access solutions such as Paygo solar. We asked ourselves: what would the world lose if the business was to fail? That way we made sure the aims were relevant and impactful."
- Siten Mandalia, Co-founder and CEO at Solaris Offgrid -
While the Paygo model has already proven to be an impactful payment collection method for off-grid technologies to bring greater access to energy in developing countries, some key challenges remain to enable companies to deliver essential services to the poor, in profitable and sustainable ways.
We aim at fostering Paygo business models to impact the world's poorest and most underserved communities. We support a legion of entrepreneurs and organisations through PaygOps SaaS Solutions and Product Development Services to have an impact that proves to be scalable and profitable.
We follow a bottom-up, “in the field, for the field” design approach, benefiting from first-hand experiences with our close partner Solaris Tanzania, allowing its teams to experience every pain point of the Paygo model, in order to develop inclusive solutions to enhance growth.
