SALES MANAGER

Full-Time position in Valencia, SPAIN / Remote

We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our team in providing B2B technology to enable the unbanked to access essential products and services. We develop payment and lending management software technologies that allow distributors to provide life-changing services like solar energy access or agritech to hundreds of thousands of people. We hope to do a lot more with an extra person on board! As a Sales Manager, you will play a key role in Solaris Offgrid's ability to surpass our growth goals and expand our social impact. 

We are expanding our technologies to partners (in over 35 developing countries up to date), and expect to impact millions of people over the next 3 years, across the Globe.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead direct relationships with prospects from prospection to invoicing

  • Represent the company at networking events, mostly agri-related but not exclusively

  • Educate PaygOps stakeholders on significant industry factors including competitive products,
    trends, customer needs, and pricing to convert them into inbound channels

  • Answer sales-related enquiries and engage with prospects in outbound activities

  • Co-design processes, data-driven and trackable sales operations

  • Perfect an understanding of the agricultural sector and its stakeholders in the African context
    through research and networking in order to develop and maintain a forward-looking strategy

  • Consolidate an understanding of the rural electrification sector and its stakeholders related to the Off-grid / Solar Home System / Pay-As-You-Go Industry

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • Experience utilizing CRM systems and marketing automation systems (such as Salesforce, Mailchimp, etc)

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives (revenue targets, pipeline
    targets, etc.)

  • Ability to convince, engage and follow up on conversations with potential customers and partners

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, not afraid to take initiatives or make proposals and then see them through to completion

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and passionate about developing world projects and social business

  • Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.

  • Proficiency in English is required, and notions of French highly appreciated

  • Location: Anywhere if you are in a home office / remote setting (as long as your working schedule can match a Central European Time Zone) or at our offices in Valencia, Spain

  • All business-related expenses paid

  • Special travelling allowance to go meet your colleagues wherever they work from
