Solaris Offgrid wins the Business Booster 2016 competition (TBB)

Solaris Offgrid is thrilled to announce our first-place finish at The Business Booster 2016 (TBB) pitch competition. TBB is a leading innovation event in sustainable energy hosted by InnoEnergy, a leading investment and business development provider in the clean energy field. The pitch competition saw more than 150 start-ups pitch their innovations to over 300 industry professionals.

In the first round of judging, competitors provided a four-minute pitch to business leaders and other innovators and were scored on their message, delivery, and potential. The Solaris Offgrid message resonated strongly with the audience and resulted in our admission to the final round of judging. The final round saw the top five finalists go head to head in front of a panel of five expert judges and over 600 attendees. Ultimately, Solaris Offrid was awarded a €10,000 first place prize.

The visibility that we have received from this award will help support our business and attract further investment and interest from future partners. This prize will also allow us to provide financing and systems for a further 100 homes in the Mwanza region of Tanzania (through Solaris Tanzania), providing a boost to our growth efforts.
